Collector Shyam Prasad Pushes Village-Level Micro Plans for Growth in Parvathipuram

 Visakhapatnam: Parvathipuram Manyam district collector A. Shyam Prasad has emphasised the importance of developing village-level Micro Plans to enhance the growth and infrastructure of Parvathipuram's villages. During a review meeting with Mandal Parishad Development Officers (MPDOs) at the Collectorate on Tuesday, he highlighted the critical role that MPDOs play in the development process and urged them to adopt a proactive approach in their work.

He instructed the MPDOs to effectively utilise the staff from Grama Sachivalayam to ensure that their efforts are aligned with specific objectives. He stressed the need for careful supervision of sand excavation activities, mandating that no such operations occur near existing infrastructure to prevent damage.

In addition, the Collector directed the officers to conduct awareness meetings regarding the Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Vikas Mission (PM JANMAN) in Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) habitations. He underscored that the mission aims for the holistic development of these communities, ensuring access to essential services such as drinking water, education, healthcare, and transportation infrastructure. He also called for the opening of Sukanya Samriddhi accounts and the issuance of health cards to the residents of these areas.
