Constitution Day: Mangalagiri DGP holds pledge with police personnel

VIJAYAWADA: On the occasion of Constitution Day on Tuesday, Director General of Police Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao led a pledge with police personnel at the police headquarters in Mangalagiri. During the ceremony, the DGP emphasised the significance of the Indian Constitution, noting that it is the largest written constitution in the world. He recalled that the Indian Constitution was drafted under the leadership of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and has served as a protective shield for the nation and its citizens across generations.

The DGP highlighted that the Constitution not only grants rights to the people but also mandates their protection through the police system. He urged for continuous reforms and strengthening of the police force to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution.

Additional DGP (CID) Ravishankar Ayyanar, Additional DGP (Intelligence) Mahesh Chandra Ladda, IGP (Law and Order) Srikanth, and IGP Ravi Prakash, along with staff from the Police Headquarters, were also present at the event.
