Eastern Naval Command showcases thrilling three-dimensional prowess at RK Beach

Visakhapatnam: The Eastern Naval Command (ENC) of the Indian Navy showcased its impressive three-dimensional capabilities in a thrilling demonstration at RK Beach, Visakhapatnam, on Saturday. The event, which drew a crowd of over one and a half lakh, featured an array of naval displays, including warships, aircraft, submarines, and MARCOS operations. The grand finale included a Beating Retreat Ceremony, an impeccable Continuity Drill, and a captivating laser and drone show that left the audience in awe.

The event was graced by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court, state ministers, MPs, and MLAs, with the Chief Minister’s wife, Bhuvaneswari, and grandson Devanshu also in attendance. Senior police officers reported that the crowd stretched over five kilometres along the beach, with many spectators watching from rooftops of the nearby apartments.

Security measures were meticulously planned, with the police making extensive preparations for crowd control and streamlining vehicular movement. The presence of prominent officials heightened the significance of the event, which has become a major annual attraction in north Andhra, drawing people from neighbouring districts.

In his address, Flag Officer and Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command, Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the State Government and local authorities for their support in organising the event. He also commended the enthusiastic participation of the people of Andhra Pradesh, which added to the success of the demonstration.

The Op Demo not only provided a stunning display of naval power but also reinforced the bond between the Indian Navy and the people of Andhra Pradesh, making it a memorable and inspiring day for all.
