Vijayawada: NTR District Collector G. Srijana said that 1,700 enumeration teams have been appointed to assess the extent of damage to 2.32 lakh homes and commercial establishments due to floods in Budameru. The enumeration will start on Monday. She underlined that details of the damage will be recorded through a special app in a transparent manner. The data is expected to be recorded within three days
The collector said Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has instructed that enumeration be carried out immediately, so that justice could be done to everyone affected by heavy rains and floods.
The enumeration team, each headed by a deputy tahsildar and a revenue inspector, will visit each home and business establishment damaged in the flood-affected areas.
Random checks will be conducted on some of the assessed houses to ensure that there are no irregularities and data collected is an accurate reflection of real conditions.
Srijana urged all individuals, whose houses / establishments have been damaged, to be available when the enumeration teams visit the place and provide all information. If, for any reason, information is unavailable during the team's visit, individuals can contact the secretary at the secretariat to arrange for another inspection, the collector clarified.
Authorities conducted a training programme for the enumerators on Sunday at the Tummalapalli Kalakshetram. Special principal secretary (Revenue) R.P. Sisodia supervised the training. Srijana said distribution of relief supplies, including food, drinking water, milk, biscuits, and fruits, has been completed in all the affected areas.
