Police in Visakhapatnam contribute one-day duty allowance to assist retired colleague

Visakhapatnam: The Anakapalli district police presented financial assistance to a retired home guard on Saturday. M. Ramalingam, who previously served at the Paderu police station, received a cheque for Rs 3,86,240 from district police chief K.V. Muralikrishna.

The funds represent a one-day duty allowance voluntarily contributed by home guards across Visakhapatnam. Muralikrishna hailed Ramalingam for his commendable service and dedication during his service.

Furthermore, the Anakapalli district police announced a new initiative for the home guards working in Anakapalli and Alluri Sitarama Raju districts. The district police will also contribute one day’s allowance to support any home guard in Visakhapatnam who either loses their life in the line of duty or retires.
