Four cases booked under new laws in two police Commissionerates in AP

Vijayawada/Visakhapatnam: As three new criminal laws came into force, four cases have been booked under NTR and Visakhapatnam police Commissionerates on Monday.
In Krishna Lanka police station, which falls under NTR police commissionerate, a case was booked with the crime no. 294/24 under section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita. The body of an unidentified male, aged 35 to 45, was found in the Krishna river, said NTR commissioner of police, Ramakrishna. Details of two more cases were yet to be disclosed.
In Visakhapatnam police commissionerate, a case has been booked as crime no. 253/24, under section 326 (f) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Four bikes caught fire at Dharma Nagar on Monday, in which two bikes burned fully and two partially.
The owner of the two bikes was Neelapu Uma Shankar. He alerted the Kanchara Palem police about the incident and raised suspicion that a local relative, Dasamantula Kameswara Rao, was behind it.
