Visakhapatnam: The Andhra Pradesh government has initiated a review of a land allotment in Nerellavalasa village, Bheemli Mandal, following concerns raised by Janasena leader Peethala Murthy Yadav. He called for the cancellation of over 250 acres allocated to the Bheemunipatnam Mutually Aided Cooperative Building Society, emphasising the need to preserve the area's red mud dunes as heritage sites with ecological and cultural significance.

In response, the state has directed the Visakhapatnam district collector to investigate the allocation, particularly in Survey No. 118/5A, and verify the authenticity of related documents to safeguard the government's interests.
