Govt withdraws registration services at Village and Ward Secretariats

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government, headed by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, withdrew the registration services at Village and Ward Secretariats introduced by the previous YSRC government.

R.P. Sisodia, special chief secretary to the government (revenue department), has issued G.O. Ms. No.206 regarding the withdrawal of registration services.
The order said the commissioner and inspector general (registration & stamps) had requested the government to issue a notification withdrawing the registration services at Village/Ward Secretariats. Further, the order said the government after careful examination of the entire issue has decided to withdraw the orders issued, declaring the new registration sub-districts, Village/ Ward Secretariats as offices of the joint sub-registrar/sub-registrar and the panchayat secretaries concerned as sub-registrars for registering the documents in Village/Ward Secretariats. The withdrawal orders would come into force with immediate effect.
