Head-On Collision Injures 27 on Andhra Pradesh Highway

 Kakinada: A head-on collision between a private bus headed to Yanam from Hyderabad and an RTC bus traveling to Amalapuram from Kakinada left 27 passengers injured near Annampalli village in Mummidivaram mandal on Sunday. Six of the injured are in critical condition.

According to Mummidivaram police, the incident involved 70 passengers on the RTC bus and 20 on the private bus.

The impact injured the driver and 24 passengers on the RTC bus, along with two passengers on the private bus.

For medical attention, 13 RTC bus passengers were taken to the Amalapuram local hospital, while the remaining 12 were transferred to Kakinada's Government General Hospital. The two private bus passengers sought treatment in Yanam.

Police in Mummidivaram are investigating the cause of the accident and have registered a case.
