KAKINADA: A couple from Gunnepalli village in Amalapuram mandal, identified as Yarlagadda Durga Rao and his wife Suseela, have gone missing. The couple reportedly sent a suicide note to Durga Rao’s friend, Pandu, detailing their intention to end their lives due to insurmountable debts.

According to the letter, Durga Rao and Suseela expressed their inability to clear their debts and stated their decision to jump into the River Godavari. They requested their relatives to take care of their children and to keep their deaths a secret. The note also mentioned that the keys to their bike were placed in the cover of the bike, which was left in a coconut warehouse at Ambajipeta.

Upon receiving the suicide note, the couple's relatives informed the police. Amalapuram rural police Circle Inspector P. Chittibabu stated that search efforts are currently underway to locate the missing couple.

As of now, it remains unclear whether the couple has indeed taken their own lives. The police continue their investigation into the matter.
