Kakinada: Police solve 21 theft cases, arrest four

KAKINADA: Police officials solved 21 theft cases after arresting four thieves in Kakinada on Tuesday. They also recovered 1,200 grams of gold worth Rs 84 lakh, 11 kg of silver ornaments worth Rs 9.90 lakh, and a bike. Police said they recovered a total of Rs 94.70 lakh in property out of Rs 1,44,24,000 stolen by the thieves.

According to police, the accused have been identified as Tekumudi Srikanth, Valli Lakshman Kumar, Valli Ramkumar of Kakinada, and Mondi Maheswara Durga Prasad of Dowleswaram. Kakinada DSP Vikrant Patil stated that the accused were involved in thefts under the Sarpavaram, Thimmapuram, Indrapalem, Kakinada Two Town, Kakinada Three Town, Samalkot, and Peddapuram police station limits. He added that the special police team made significant efforts to nab the thieves and recover the stolen property. The Sarpavaram police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
