Kurnool: Kurnool District SP G. Bindu Madhav announced on Sunday that permits for Ganesh festivals can now be easily obtained through a special portal, https://ganeshutsav.net, using a single-window system. He added that the entire process, including obtaining the No Objection Certificate (NOC) document, can be facilitated via WhatsApp.

With this new system, residents can conveniently pay the challan fee at Mee-Seva centres and receive the NOC along with a QR code for conducting Ganesh festivals, setting up mandapams, and organising processions and immersions. The SP emphasised that, as per regulations, loudspeakers should not be used between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. He also urged Ganesh festival organisers in the district to ensure safety by installing CCTV cameras and providing sandbags and water buckets at mandapams.
