Lokesh to visit Vizag for 1st time after NDA govt formation

Visakhapatnam: General secretary of Telugu Desam Nara Lokesh will visit Visakhapatnam on Wednesday, as part of a three-day tour to meet local party leaders and attend a defamation case hearing.

This will be Lokesh's first trip to Visakhapatnam after the NDA government was formed in the state earlier this year.
Party leaders here are making extensive arrangements to welcome Lokesh, who holds the portfolios of information technology and human resource development.
State president Palla Srinivasa Rao, Visakhapatnam East MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu and district president Gandi Babji convened to make necessary preparations.
To have a massive welcome party for Lokesdh on August 28, party workers from all parts of the district are being mobilised.
On August 29, Lokesh, accompanied by Palla Srinivasa Rao, will attend a defamation case hearing against Sakshi newspaper at the district court.
Subsequently, he will visit the party office to meet top leaders and party cadres. He will stay there for the night there.
On the morning of August 30, Lokesh plans to conduct inspections at two schools in the city. Education officials are expected to be present.
A review meeting with district officials and public representatives will also be held at the collectorate. Later in the day, Lokesh will return to the party office and stay for the night. Departure for Vijayawada is planned for the morning of August 31.
