Man attacks junior doctor, doctors stage protest

Kurnool: Junior doctors staged a protest on Wednesday at the collectorate after an attendant at the Government General Hospital allegedly manhandled a doctor. Approximately 500 postgraduate doctors participated in the demonstration, submitting a representation to the collector, demanding action against the accused.

The incident involved a man who, posing as a journalist, allegedly threatened and physically assaulted a junior doctor while they were administering treatment. According to Achyut, the district president of the Junior Doctors Association, the individual behaved rudely and attacked the doctor, despite their efforts to remain calm.

In response to the incident, the three-town police registered a case and detained the accused. The protesting doctors called for strict action against the person responsible for the assault.
