Marketing Director Visits Adoni, Yemmiganur Markets

Kurnool: Director of agricultural marketing M.Vijaya Suneetha, made an unannounced visit to the Adoni and Yemmiganur agricultural markets on Wednesday morning. At Adoni, she toured the entire market yard and reviewed the services provided to farmers. Her focus was on ensuring accurate weighing of produce and fair pricing without deductions. She emphasised the need for the full implementation of essential infrastructure, including food services, medical facilities, rest areas, toilets, and drinking water. Suneetha instructed officials to call for tenders and expedite any ongoing work to enhance market facilities.

In Yemmiganur, she inspected the agricultural market and discussed groundnut prices and other issues with farmers. Commission agents requested the temporary relocation of the vegetable market, and Suneetha assured that measures would be taken to ensure transparent crop purchases and address market-related concerns. Officials from agriculture, marketing, and other departments accompanied her during the visit.
