Visakhapatnam: Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy reviewed the affairs of the Simhachalam temple and its affiliated shrines, including the land issues, on Sunday.
Addressing the media, he said the Simhachalam temple's land issue would be resolved shortly. He said chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has tasked him with a significant responsibility in Visakhapatnam. Local MLAs have also highlighted the urgency of resolving the Panchagramalu land dispute, he said.
The minister discussed the Panchagramala issue with temple trustee Ashok Gajapathi Raju, who gave him several recommendations.
“More than 12,000 individuals currently reside on these disputed lands. The government is dedicated to regularising their status. Attempts are on to allocate alternative government land to them. A resolution of the dispute would be possible soon, subject to court approval,” he said.
Ashok Gajapathi Raju said efforts are being made to resolve the Mansas land issue.
