Naidu Launches 8 New Companies in Sri City

Anantapur: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stone for eight new companies and inaugurated 16 manufacturing units in Sri City on Monday. He also participated in the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between Sri City and five more companies, signalling a commitment to further growth.
These new ventures, Naidu said, represented a total investment of Rs 3683 crore and are expected to create over 15280 new jobs in the region.
The chief minister inaugurated the newly built fire-station and set the foundation for a Hi-Tech Police Station, as part of the efforts to bolster infrastructure and safety within the industrial hub.
During an interactive session with industry leaders, Naidu commended C Sriniraju and Ravindra Sannareddy for their vision and dedication in transforming an underdeveloped region into a global model for industrial development.
“Sri City has emerged as one of the finest examples of industrial development in the country and beyond," he stated and highlighted Sri City's cooler climate and green initiatives.
The chief minister said fire renewals for industries will be required every five years, not annually, and promised timely payment of pending incentives as also infrastructure improvements. He also promised to lower water and power tariffs for industrial units.
Industries minister TG Bharath said the government was working on a new industrial policy that would make investment easier, faster, and more affordable in the state.
Ravindra Sannareddy stated, "Sri City has crossed another significant milestone, marking a pivotal moment in its continued development. Under your dynamic leadership and forward-thinking industrial policy, Andhra Pradesh will continue as the preferred destination for global investments."
The event was attended by home minister V Anitha, DGP Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, DG (Fire Services) Madireddi Pratap, secretary to the industries department Yuvaraj and others.
