Naidu, Pawan present as Modi files nomination

VIJAYAWADA: Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan arrived in Varanasi to be present when Prime Minister Narendra Modi filed his nomination papers on Tuesday to contest from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat on Tuesday.

Union home minister Amit Shah, BJP national president J.P. Nadda and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also attended the nomination-filing programme.

Later, in a tweet, Modi said, “I am honoured by the presence of our valued NDA allies in Kashi today. Our alliance represents a commitment to national progress and fulfilling regional aspirations. We will work together for the progress of India in the years to come.”

Later, JS chief Pawan Kalyan visited the Kashi Vishwanath temple, along with his spouse, and offered prayers. Uttar Pradesh forest minister Arun Kumar Saxena accompanied Pawan Kalyan.
