Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday zeroed in on TDP Undi MLA K Raghu Ramakrishna Raju as Deputy Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday zeroed in on TDP Undi MLA K Raghu Ramakrishna Raju as Deputy Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. A formal notification is expected to be issued on Wednesday or Thursday.

In 2019, Raghu Ramakrishna Raju was elected as an MP from Narsapuram on a YSRCP ticket. However, he became a vocal critic of party president and Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy shortly after his election. Before the 2024 elections, he resigned from YSRCP and joined the TDP. He later won the MLA seat from the Undi constituency in West Godavari district.
