Visakhapatnam: A group of 450 National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from across southern India has embarked on a trekking expedition in the scenic Araku Valley. Organised by the NCC Group Headquarters, Visakhapatnam, the adventure camp aims to provide cadets with a holistic experience and promote camaraderie.

Accompanied by NCC officers and Army personnel, the cadets began their trek on October 8 with a challenging journey to Ranajilleda Waterfall. Air Commodore V.M. Reddy, deputy director general of NCC (Andhra Pradesh & Telangana), joined the expedition and encouraged cadets to embrace challenges and become responsible citizens.

The picturesque Araku Valley, known for its natural beauty and diverse landscapes, offers an ideal setting for the trek. Cadets will explore valleys, serene meadows, and the world-renowned Borra Caves during the expedition.

The camp will conclude on October 11 with a cultural evening where cadets from various states will showcase their regional traditions and talents.
