No drinking water in parts of Vijayawada on June 19

VIJAYAWADA: The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) has announced that the drinking water supply to several colonies within the municipal corporation limits will be disrupted on the morning of June 19 to carry out maintenance work on the 900 mm WPSC pumping main line at KR Market junction. In a release issued on Monday, the civic body said that the drinking water supply through the 16MGD pipeline to the residents of Gandhi Nagar, Hanumanpet, Pezzonipet, Baptist Palem, Kesdareswara Pet, Lotus Nagar, Ramalingeswara Pet, Satyanarayanapuram, Durga Puram, Gulabi Thota, Madhura Nagar, Srinagar Colony, Bhanu Nagar, Teachers Colony, Mutyalamapadu, Governor Pet, Arundelpet, Suryarao Pet, Kasturibai Pet, Giripuram, Durga Agraharam, Sitarampuram, Badavapet, Woodpet, Labbipet, Mallikarjuna Pet, and Uppara Vagu hill region will be disrupted on the morning of June 19 to carry out pipeline maintenance work. The water supply will be restored as usual on the evening of June 19, the release read.
