Safe, comfortable, timely journey is railways motto: Nagya

The officer comprehensively inspected Vijayawada railway station and other offices located in the city on Saturday, accompanied by Narendra Varma, senior divisional operations managers Satya Swaroop and Prashant Kumar and senior divisional safety officer, among others.

Nagya reviewed train operations and advised officials to ensure punctuality of trains. He said ensuring safe, timely and comfortable journey for rail passengers should be their top priority. He inspected passenger amenities, traffic facilities, safety norms and cleanliness at Vijayawada station. He also reviewed the condition of tracks, signalling systems, and other infrastructure, including the ongoing tripling works between Vijayawada and Rayanapadu.

The PCOM interacted with loco pilots and counselled them and train managers about automatic block signalling. He underlined that safety should not be compromised while maintaining the punctuality of train operations.

Nagya emphasised the importance of enhancing passenger comfort, and increasing efficiency in train operations, including freight. He instructed officials to monitor the punctuality of all trains on a priority basis.
