Kurnool: Police identified Narasimhulu, a fellow TDP leader, as the mastermind of the murder of Telugu Desam leader Vakiti Srinivasulu in Pathikonda.

The conflict reportedly started when Srinivasulu slapped Gudise Narasimhulu, an ex-serviceman, with a chappal. Narasimhulu, seeking revenge, orchestrated the murder with the help of his followers.

Pathikonda in-charge SDPO Srinivasachary explained on Sunday that Gudise Narasimhulu, along with his associates Boya Ramanjaneyulu, Vuliveni Harikrishna, and Vadde Narasimhulu, plotted to eliminate Srinivasulu.
Narasimhulu arranged for the murder with Vadde Kashinath and his friend Erukala Vamsi, offering Rs 10 lakh for the job with an advance of Rs 50,000. On August 14, Vadde Kashinath and Erukala Vamsi attacked Srinivasulu outside his home, killing him with an iron rod and a knife.

The investigation revealed that the motive was to gain village supremacy. Pathikonda circle inspector Jayanna, Devanakonda circle inspector Srinivasulu, Pathikonda sub inspector Venkateshwarlu, and others arrested the conspirators on Sundat and seized a motorcycle, the iron rod, and the knife from the crime scene.
Pathikonda in-charge SDPO Srinivasachari confirmed that the suspects, including juveniles involved in the murder, will be produced in court for further proceedings.
