TD worker murdered in Tadipatri sparks fears of renewed violence

ANANTAPUR: Escalating tensions in Tadipatri erupted in violence late Monday night, with a 23-year-old TD worker, Lulu Bhasha, brutally murdered at his residence in Nandalapadu village.

Bhasha, known for his active participation in TD politics, reportedly had prior run-ins with rivals in the village and faced accusations in several cases.
Sources allege a group of assailants attacked Bhasha while he slept on his rooftop, inflicting fatal throat injuries with a sharp weapon.
Responding swiftly, Tadipatri DSP Janardhan Naidu and CI Nagendraprasad reached the scene and initiated a case based on a complaint filed by the victim's father, Mahaboob Bhasha.
Police suspect the murder stems from a long-standing local rivalry. This incident has heightened concerns about potential further violence in Nandalapadu. Tadipatri has witnessed simmering tensions since election day, with several prominent leaders from both YSRC and TD parties barred from entering the town by court order.YSRC leader and former MLA K. Pedda Reddy, along with TD leader and municipal chairman J.C. Prabhakar Reddy, are among those currently staying away from Tadipatri due to these restrictions. Authorities are on high alert to prevent further outbreaks of violence in the wake of this unsettling murder.
