Tirupati: Tirupati MLA Arani Srinivasulu has assured that eligible individuals who lost their land due to the construction of master plan roads in the city will receive transferable development rights (TDR) bonds by February.

Speaking at a revenue meeting held on Monday in Timminaidu Palem, the MLA strongly criticised the previous YSRC government, accusing it of widespread corruption and the misuse of the master plan road project for personal gain. “Former MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy exploited the master plan roads initiative to inflate land values and selectively issue TDR bonds to benefit close associates. This was a deliberate act to misappropriate public funds under the guise of development,” he alleged.

Arani further criticised the previous government for turning the master plan roads into a tool for profit. “Land values were artificially raised, and TDR bonds were issued selectively to a few, while genuine victims were left in the lurch,” Srinivasulu said.

Addressing the Harijanawada crematorium issue in Timminaidu Palem, Srinivasulu revealed that the government is considering allocating alternative land to resolve the problem. He also urged revenue officials to draft proposals for resolving the 22A issue and directed them to remove encroachments on the local tank.
