Two brothers die by suicide in Varanasi

Kakinada: Two brothers, P. Lakshmi Narayana (34) and P. Lok Vinod (32), from Narayanapuram village in Unguturu mandal of Eluru district, were found dead at an ashram in Manasarovar, Sonarpura, under Bhelupuru police station limits in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. According to ACP Dhanunjay Mishra of Bhelupuru, the bodies were discovered in a decomposed state and have been sent for post-mortem. CCTV footage suggests the incident may have occurred on September 8.
Ganapavaram Circle Inspector M. Subhash stated that Chebrolu police had registered a missing person case for the two brothers on May 12, 2024. Prior to their disappearance, the brothers sent a video message via WhatsApp, alleging harassment from four cricket bookies over unpaid debts. They expressed their intention to take their own lives, which they communicated to a friend, T. Rajesh, who then informed the police. On Wednesday, the brothers' relatives received news of their deaths.
