Union Minister Bandi distributes 110 appointment letters at Rozgar Mela

Visakhapatnam: Union Minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar distributed appointment letters to 110 new central government employees at the Rozgar Mela held in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday. The event was a part of nationwide recruitment driver where Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed 51,236 appointment letters across India through video conference
The Union Minister congratulated the newly appointed job seekers and wished them success in their new roles. He emphasized the government’s commitment to creating a self-reliant and developed India, highlighting the leadership of Prime Minister Modi in serving the nation across all fields.
Speaking at the event, he highlighted that the Modi government has already provided employment to approximately 8 lakh people out of 10 lakh central government jobs since the Rozgar Mela initiative began in October 2022. He emphasized the government’s commitment to timely recruitment without corruption allegations.
"We are conducting the recruitment and completing the examination process within the stipulated time frame," he said. He added that the government is working to immediately fill vacancies across sectors to prevent any operational impacts.
The minister noted that the “double engine” regime in Andhra Pradesh presents opportunities for the state’s development at an accelerated pace. He urged everyone to set aside political differences and work towards fulfilling the aspirations of the people. He also stressed the importance of developing Andhra Pradesh as a tourism hub.
Highlighting the government’s support for Andhra Pradesh, the minister mentioned several key projects and institutions establish in the state, including the Tribal University in Vizianagaram, AIIMS in Mangalagiri, IIT in Tirupati, and IIPE in Vizag. He also noted the established of a central university in Anantapur and the sanctioning of 17 new medical colleges.
The minister detailed significant investments in infrastructure, including funding for the Polavaram project, (13,500 crore), Amaravati development (15,000 crore) and airport expansions in Tirupati, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada. Participants at the event watched Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurating the Rozgar Mela via video conference, where he distributed appointment letters to new recruits in various government departments and organizations.
