Vijayawada: NTR district collector Dr G. Srijana announced plans to develop Pavitra Sangamam into a spiritual tourist centre, in line with Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s vision to revive the Nava Harathulu programme. Necessary arrangements have been made to transform the holy confluence area into a spiritual shrine, with preparations underway for the Nava Harathulu by Dasara.
Srijana, along with department officials, inspected the area on Saturday. She noted that the 1.7 km main road from Ibrahimpatnam to Pavitra Sangamam would be strengthened, with priority given to sanitation and safety.
The development aims to attract visitors from other states, with enhanced spiritual activities during Nava Harathulu, including discourses, devotional songs, and improved security. Joint Collector Nidhi Meena and other officials participated in the programme.
