Visakhapatnam Man Sentenced to 20 Years for Rape of Minor

Visakhapatnam: A case involving the kidnapping and rape of a minor girl in 2019 was registered against Vadakari Akhil at the Kancharapalem police station. The court imposed a fine of Rs.20,000 on the accused and mandated that he pay Rs. 2 lakh in compensation to the victim. Additionally, the court directed the government to provide a compensation of `2 lakh to the girl. The POCSO court sentenced Akhil to 20 years in prison for the crime of raping the minor.
