Visakhapatnam: A medical crisis is unfolding in Tadibanda village, a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) community in Chintapalli mandal. Over the past week, 10 families have been grappling with diarrhea and fevers, primarily due to the lack of access to clean drinking water.

The situation has become dire, as exemplified by the case of Vanthala Nagiamma, 30.
When her health deteriorated, her family had no choice but to carry her four kilometres in a 'doli' to Bachu Chinta village. From there, she was transported to the Daunur Primary Health Centre and eventually referred to the Narsipatnam Area Hospital.
Sadly, Nagiamma's experience is not isolated. Approximately 50 other villagers are suffering from similar ailments and facing the same challenges in accessing healthcare. Despite the state government's efforts to provide a feeder ambulance, the lack of proper roads in the area prevents it from reaching Tadibanda, leaving the tribals stranded.
The tribals are now demanding urgent intervention from the authorities. They are calling for the establishment of a medical camp in their village or the construction of better roads to facilitate easier access to healthcare facilities.
