VIJAYAWADA: Accusing Vijayawada Central MLA Bonda Uma and his associates of raging down his building with the help of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) officials, former corporator and YSRC leader Nandepu Jagadeesh staged a half-naked protest in front of his partially demolished house in Prakash Nagar on Monday, denouncing the TD MLA excesses.
The Dalit YSRC leader who tonsured his head as a sign of protest tried to shave off the head of his wife which was prevented by the police personnel.
Speaking on the occasion, Nandepu Jagadeesh stated Bonda Uma had inaugurated the building when I was part of TD, which was now demolished by the municipal corporation authorities. “It is an act of vengeance by Bonda Uma, as I have worked and supported the YSRC party and candidate in the just-concluded 2024 general assembly elections,” he alleged.
Jagadeesh added that he would knock on the doors of TD chief and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and complain about the excesses of Bonda Uma in Vijayawada. He further warned that all of his family members would shave off their heads and continue their protest if the government failed to render justice to him.
It could be mentioned here that the VMC authorities demolished a portion of the building belonging to Jagadeesh in the Prakash Nagar area citing encroachment of government land last week.
