Experts from US, Canada Visit Polavaram Project

Kakinada: Design and civil engineering experts David B Paul and Gian Franco Discicco from the US and Richard Donnely and Sean Hinch Berger from Canada visited the Polavaram Project in Eluru district of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday to sort out the technical challenges to the project.

Polavaram project superintendent engineer Narasimha Murthy and officials from the central water commission and Polavaram project authority were present.

They are inspecting the project for four days and preparing a report on what designs will fit in and how the project can be completed and made operational. They would submit a report later.

The CWC felt that it needed international skills to design the project.
