Hyderabad Police Bust Rs.7.6 Crore Visa Scam

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Central Crime Station (CCS) police on Saturday arrested Madasu Kumar, running Riyan Visas and Immigration Pvt Ltd, at Lakdikapul by cheating about 100 aspirants of Rs.7.6 crore after falsely promising them visas to the UK, Canada and Poland.

The accused advertised on digital platforms and hired unauthorised agents to attract victims, police said.

Kumar provided the victims service agreements to make them believe that the process was genuine and later provided fake job offer letters and certificate of sponsorship to the victims.

The applicants submitted these letters with their visa forms but they were rejected by the respective embassies. Some applicants were barred entry.

The police also registered cases against visa scam fraudsters such as Japala Shashank of Hexus Migration Consultancy at Somajiguda; Munamarthy Prashanth Sharma of Anaga Career Solutions, Himayatnagar; Rupesh Kumar Kudumula of Ray Seven Education; Muthyala Sandeep Reddy of Hope Stone Career Consultancy Pvt Ltd; SRN Global Visa Help Pvt Ltd’s Maddali Tirumala Phaninder Kumar.
