Anantapur: Tadipatri municipal chairman and former MLA from Tadipatri J.C. Prabhakar Reddy gave vent to his outburst over false cases registered against him and harassment of his family during the five years of YSRC regime.

He gave an ultimatum to the RTA and also police to withdraw all false cases and hand over his buses with fitness.

“Otherwise, I am ready to go to any extreme step against those officials who had a role. I am not speaking as a TD leader but as a victim of YSRC. I am even ready to quit TD if I fail to get justice,” Prabhakar Reddy remarked at a press conference on Wednesday.

Prabhakar Reddy had left his beard unshaven after taking oath four years ago following a series of cases against his family and also seizure of his buses over alleged fake documentation and conversion of vehicles from B-IV to B VI.

Briefing reporters, he broke into tears, making it clear that he purchased vehicles from Ashok Leyland, which issued necessary documents after collecting necessary fees and GST.

But then minister Perni Nani and YSRC leader Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy had mounted pressure on deputy transport commissioner Shivaram Prasad to seize his buses and lodged criminal cases against him.

“I have been in judicial custody and faced many problems. I had even been unable to enter my chambers in Tadipatri municipality during the past five years,” he remarked.

Prabhakar Reddy demanded that RTA officials hand over all his buses seized four years ago as they were at the time of seizure within 10 days. Otherwise, he warned that, along with family members, he will stage a hunger strike, in front of the SP office and DTC office in Anantapur.
