Petrol, Diesel Prices likely to go up by Rs 3 in Karnataka

Karnataka government on Saturday increased the sales tax which could increase the fuel prices in the State.
As per the government notification issued today, the Karnataka Sales Tax (KST) has been raised from 25.92% to 29.84% on petrol and from 14.3% to 18.44% on diesel. The notification will come into effect immediately.
According to the Petroleum Dealers Association, petrol and diesel prices are likely to go up by Rs 3 and Rs 3.05 approximately in Karnataka, ANI reported.
The price of petrol will cost Rs 102.84 per litre in Bengaluru, up from the previous rate of Rs 99.84 per litre.
Similarly, the price of diesel will be Rs 88.95 per litre up from Rs 85.93 per litre in Bengaluru.
