PM Modi, CMs to Attend Naidu’s Oath Ceremony

Vijayawada: AP chief secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad on Saturday instructed officials to take strict security measures on June 12 at Gannavaram for the oath-taking ceremony of Nara Chandrababu Naidu as the new chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AP Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and other VVIP dignitaries, including CMs, are attending the programme. Hence, there must be no flaws in security arrangements.

The CS reviewed the arrangements for June 12 at his camp office in Vijayawada. DGP Harish Kumar Gupta, special chief secretary M.T. Krishnababu, principal secretaries M. Ravichandra and Shashi Bhushan Kumar, additional DGP S. Bagchi, Secretary (Transport, Roads & Buildings) P.S. Pradyumna, IGs Rajasekhar Babu and Ashok Kumar, NTR district police commissioner P.H.D. Ramakrishna, Krishna and NTR district collectors D.K. Balaji and S. Dilli Rao and Krishna district SP Adnan Naeem Asmi were among those who participated in the meeting.

Speaking separately in the conference hall of Gannavaram Airport on Saturday afternoon, Pradyumna said a place near Medha Towers IT Park in Gannavaram Mandal’s Kesarapalli village has been selected for the oath-taking ceremony.

He said the main meeting premises will be levelled. There will be a stage, barricading and separation of seating blocks. Uninterrupted power supply will be ensured.

Fresh water, buttermilk packets and food will be arranged for the guests and people coming for the meeting.

Pradyumna said separate seating arrangements will be made for celebrities, media and the public. A medical camp will be set up with necessary medicines and an ambulance.
