 Chennai: Chief Minister M K Stalin inaugurated two mini Tidel Parks constructed at a total cost of Rs 60 crore in Thanjavur and Salem districts by the State Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce Department with a view to taking the developments in Information Technology to the smaller towns of the State.

Stalin declared the mini Tidel Parks in Pillaiyarpatti village in Thanjavur district, for which 30 percent of the 55,000 square feet space has already been allotted, and in Karuppur village in Salem district, where 71 per cent of the 55,000 square feet floor space has been taken, through video conference from the Secretariat in Chennai on Monday.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated a slew of buildings belonging to the Cooperative, Food and Consumer Protection Department costing Rs 57.95 crore in Chennai, Coimbatore, Dindigul, Trichy, Vellore districts. Among them were a food testing laboratory, storage facilities and so on.

On the occasion 110 persons were handed over appointment appointments to fill up vacancies in the civil supplies corporation and another 48 persons for jobs in the forest department and pollution control boards.
