Malayalam Actor Honey Rose Files Complaint Against Businessman Boby Chemmanur
Thirvanthapuram: Honey Rose, a prominent Malayalam actor, has filed a complaint against businessman Boby Chemmanur at the Ernakulam central police station accusing him of making repeated sexually inappropriate remarks that insulted womanhood.
The actor has sought justice for the harassment she faced. In her complaint, Rose specifically highlighted the incident at the inauguration of the Chemmanur Jewellery store in Alakode, Kannur on August 7 where she was subjected to unacceptable behaviour. She also shared her experiences of facing problems on various platforms after the incident.
The actor has also lodged complaints against at least 20 YouTubers for using obscene thumbnails featuring her image in their videos. She has resolved to stand up against harassment and exploitation.
Before filing the complaint, Rose met with ADGP Manoj Abraham and Kochi City Police Commissioner Putta Vimladitya.
The actor also took to social media to issue a strong warning to Chemmanur and his followers, asserting her trust in India's legal system. "You may believe in the power of your wealth, but I trust India's legal system."
The police have already taken a person into custody for making objectionable comments under Rose's social media post.
