Tamil Actor Vijay Unveils Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam Flag, Symbol

Chennai: Tamil actor Vijay on Thursday unveiled the flag and symbol of his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) at Panayur party office in Chennai.
The two-coloured flag with maroon on top and yellow on bottom has two elephants on both sides of the Vaagai flower.
Vijay announced the launch of his political party in February. Along with the flag, he also unveiled the party anthem, marking a new chapter in Tamil Nadu politics.
The actor said he will be contesting in the 2026 Assembly elections in the State. Vijay did not choose to contest in 2024 Lok Sabha elections, although launching the party in February and he did not support any party in the General elections.
Vijay took a pledge with his party workers while unveiling the party flag. “"We will always appreciate the fighters who fought and sacrificed their lives for the liberation of our country, and countless soldiers who fought tirelessly for the rights of our people from Tamil soil," read the pledge.
