Telangana: Government Urged to Recognise and Train RMPs and PMPs

Hyderabad: A delegation, led by Prof. Kodandaram, presented a petition to the health minister C. Damodar Rajanarsimha seeking the government to train RMPs (registered medical practitioners) and PMPs (private medical practitioners) and issue certificates on completion of the course.

They narrated about the problems faced by RMPs and PMPs in the state. They lamented that although 12,900 RMPs and PMPs had finished their training from various centres, they have not been issued certificates to the extent that they were competent to provide medical care to patients.

Prof. Kodandaram urged the minister to conduct examinations immediately and issue certificates.

Meanwhile, the delegation submitted a representation to the minister to stop attacks on RMPs and PMPs across the state. The minister said that he will take up the matter with the Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and resolve the issue.
