12 Inspectors from Hyderabad CCS Transferred

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, K Sreenivasa Reddy, has transferred twelve Inspectors working at the Hyderabad Commissioner's Central Crime Station (CCS). These Inspectors have been directed to report to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) – 2 immediately.

The transferred Inspectors are Siva Gouni Shiva Shankar, Raghu Babu K, Appala Naidu Meesala, Bukya Rajesh, Seetha Ramulu, Hussain Dheravath, G Satyam, Nageshwar Reddy C, Dharawath Krishna, K Satyanarayana, S A Emmanuel and B Kranthi Kumar.

These transfers come in the wake of the arrest of an Inspector from the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) at CCS by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday, June 13th. The arrested Inspector, Chamakuri Sudhakar, was allegedly caught demanding a bribe of Rs 5 lakh and accepting Rs 3 lakh from a complainant, Mani Ranga Swamy, a resident of Odl Bowenpally. Reports indicate that Sudhakar had initially demanded Rs 15 lakh and had already received Rs 5 lakh as an advance.

Sudhakar has been arrested, and a case has been registered. The ACB is currently investigating the matter. They have obtained details of 32 cases that Inspector Sudhakar had investigated. The specific case leading to his arrest involved a cheating complaint filed by C.V.S Satya Prasad against Mani Ranga Swamy Ayyar, a consultant.
