120 kg black jaggery seized from Devagiri express

Nizamabad: Police seized 120 kg of black jaggery and 250 kg of other prohibited raw materials used for the manufacturing of illicit distilled (ID) liquor from Mumbai-bound Devagiri Express in Nizamabad on Sunday.

Following a tip-off, railway protection force, government railway police, prohibition and excise officials jointly conducted searches and seized the banned material on the train. However, the smugglers of the black jaggery escaped from the train. The seized material was handed over to the prohibition and excise department.
