19-yr-old girl student dies by suicide
Hyderabad: An undergraduate student died by suicide in Bhongir after a fight with her boyfriend. Police held the accused under abetment to suicide and remanded him to judicial custody. The deceased Y. Hasini is a 19-year-old undergraduate student studying at Kasturba Gandhi College in West Maredpally. She was born and brought up in Bhongir and moved to the hostel for her college. However, she went home over the weekend and took the extreme step on Sunday.
Her younger brother first spotted her hanging to the ceiling fan in the house. They immediately reported to the police and moved her to the hospital but she was declared brought dead. The case was registered under suspicious death under section 194 of the BNSS with Bhongir police.
Meanwhile, the father mentioned her boyfriend Nikhil Goud, 21, as the suspect. During the preliminary investigation, the police found that Hasini had been in a relationship with Nikhil for a year. They had been schoolmates since the seventh standard and had been in a relationship for a year and a half.
Police found the conversations between Hasini and Nilkil. The duo had a fight in the conversation where he said ‘Go and die’ and the deceased might have taken it to heart, said the police. The case was then altered to abetment to suicide and the Nikhil was sent to remand on Monday.
