Hyderabad: Two individuals, after consuming liquor, attacked each other with a wooden log and a stick, which resulted in succumbing to their injuries. Both were relatives and the tragic incident occurred at Nagilla village under Madgul police station limits in Ranga Reddy district late on Sunday night, police said.
According to Madgul police, an old enmity was suspected to be the motive behind the attack. “Bakaram Yadaiah, 54, who was a convict and facing life imprisonment for murdering his wife, had a heated argument with his brother-in-law Gaddam Srinu, 40. Incarcerated Yadaiah was released from the Cherlapally Central Prison because he was mentally sick. Yadaiah went to Srinu’s house and both after taking liquor, attacked each other with a wooden pestle and a log. Srinu died on the spot and Yadaiah succumbed to his injuries later on. Both were masons by profession,” police said.
Upon receiving information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to a hospital mortuary.
“Srinu and Yadaiah had a quarrel and both of them attacked each other with the wooden pestles and sticks. They died due to excessive blood loss,” I. Jagadeesh Modgul, police inspector, said.
