2-Year-Old Girl Swept Away in Nizamabad Drainage Flood
Nizamabad: A-two-year-old girl was washed away in drainage flood at Anandnagar in Nizamabad on Wednesday. The victim was identified as Anu of Anandnagar at Varni road. The incident occurred while the girl was playing in front of her house and was accidentally drowned in the drainage and washed away in the flood water. The mother of the victim noticed the missing of her daughter and raised the alarm.
The neighbours and Anandnagar residents alerted the police over the missing of the girl in the drainage. Disaster management team and police rushed to the spot and began searching for the girl. Due to heavy rain in Nizamabad, the drainages overflowed with flood water. The body of the victim has not yet been traced in the drainage. Search operation continued till Wednesday night.
