24,000 students take JEE Adv in Telangana

Hyderabad: Over 24,000 students from Telangana appeared for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced on Sunday. The examination was conducted in two sessions, with Paper I from 9 am to 12 noon and Paper II from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. Centres were set up across various locations in Telangana, including Adilabad, Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Kodad, Kothagudem, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Sathupally, Siddipet, and Suryapet.

The JEE Advanced, a crucial national-level selection procedure for admissions to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), was conducted as a computer-based test by IIT Madras under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board 2024 (JAB 2024). The examination determines admissions into bachelor’s, dual, integrated, and master’s degrees at IITs across India.

In Telangana, the anticipation is high as students gear up for this test. Among the top scorers in the country, a notable number hailed from Telangana. The state has consistently produced top performers in the JEE Advanced exams, and this year is expected to be no different, with a significant number of students vying for top ranks.
