25 poets attend Kavi Sammelan in Kaloji Kalakshetram

WARANGAL: A grand-scale Kavi Sammelan was organised on Wednesday at Kaloji Kalakshetram in Balasamudram, Hanamkonda district, featuring 25 poets under the auspices of the Kaloji Foundation.

Speaking at the event, V.R. Vidhyarti, secretary of the Kaloji Foundation, expressed satisfaction in conducting the first Kavi Sammelan at Kalakshetram. "Throughout his life, Kaloji Narayana Rao tirelessly worked for the betterment of society," she remarked, honouring the legacy of the renowned poet.

The inauguration of Kalakshetram by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday fulfilled the long-awaited aspirations of poets, artists, and writers. Enagala Venkatram Reddy, chairman of the Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) and chief guest at the Sammelan, extended his gratitude to Chief Minister Reddy for allocating ₹90 crore for the project. "The completion of Kalakshetram in memory of our people's poet, Kaloji Narayana Rao, is a significant achievement," he stated.

Reddy also thanked the Chief Minister for approving the master plan, which anticipates the future needs of the population up to 2041. He further celebrated the success of the Indira Shakti Praja Palana Vijayotsava Sabha held at the Arts and Science College ground on Tuesday.

Later in the event, members of the Kaloji foundation felicitated KUDA chairman Enagala Venkatram Reddy for his contributions. The gathering included KUDA vice-chairperson Ashwini Thanaji, project officer Ajith Reddy, E.E. Bhim Rao, secretary Muralidhar Rao, and poets Rama Devi, Anjani Devi, Kamala, Vani, Vani Sri, Anwar, Ravi, Kumar, Veeraswamy, Karthik Raju, Jithendar, Anitha, Mohammad Gulshan, Uma, Vandana, and Vidya Devi, among others.
