29 UoH Faculty Among Top 2% of Highly Cited Researchers

Hyderabad: Twentynine of the University of Hyderabad's (UoH) current and former faculty members were listed among the global top 2 per cent of highly cited researchers. This ranking is curated by John P.A. Ioannidis of Stanford University.

The list, based on standardised metrics such as citations, h-index, and co-authorship adjusted hm-index, encompasses over 2.17 lakh researchers across 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields.

The UoH list contains ten faculty members in chemistry, seven in life sciences, three each in computer and information sciences and high energy materials, two each in Earth, ocean and atmospheric sciences and physics, one in literary/ communication and textual xtudies, and one in mathematics and statistics.

The list included, among others, Prof. Goverdhan Mehta, Prof. M.N.V. Prasad, Prof. Attipalli R. Reddy, Prof. AS. Raghavendra, Prof. Soma Venugopal Rao, Prof. Pramod K. Nayar, Prof. Ashwini K. Nangia, and Prof. Rajadurai Chandrasekar, among others.

Notably, Prof. Pramod K. Nayar was the only Indian university researcher in the field of literary studies to feature in the list.
