4 held for beating dogs to death

HYDERABAD: Jawaharnagar police arrested four persons for allegedly beating three dogs, leading to the death of two, with one sustaining serious injuries in Karmikanagar on Wednesday.
According to investigating officer Laxmaiah, the accused have been identified as Narsapuram Krishna, Mangadi Krishna, Chintala Venkatesh, and Vatti Vupendra. They are working as labourers in the same colony.
The accused trapped the three female dogs in a net and then beat them up indiscriminately until two of them succumbed to their injuries. One of them is undergoing treatment at a hospital in the city. Visuals of the act went viral on social media platforms. Following this, a complaint was registered against the attackers.
According to the inspector, the assailants attacked the dogs as they were reportedly eating away their sheep and biting their children. As the incident was reported, a veterinary doctor reached the spot, two dead dogs were sent for postmortem and the third one to the hospital.
