6-member Committee to Examine SC Orders on Categorisation

Hyderabad: The state government has constituted a six-member committee to examine the Supreme Court's judgment on the sub-classification within Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) reserved categories and recommend a way forward.

According to an order issued on Thursday, the committee will be chaired by irrigation minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, with health minister Damodar Rajanarsimha serving as the vice-chairman. Three other Cabinet ministers, D. Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, Danasari Anasuya Seethakka and Nagarkurnool MP Mallu Ravi have been appointed as members.
